What do we do?

Moorpark Volunteers in Policing (VIPs) consist of dedicated citizens who have the desire to serve the community of Moorpark. VIPs assist with numerous activities, both within the police station and throughout the city. VIPs perform routine police functions allowing deputies to concentrate more on the duties that only sworn personnel can perform. These duties include extra patrol, parking enforcement, vacation house checks, special event security, crime report writing and traffic control, to name a few.
